Designing gorgeous and meaningful arrangements for every season, each impacting or giving joy to a friend or family member, is one of the most amazing things you could do.

Dahlias are probably my favorite flower! They are just so beautiful! What makes them so great is how easily they grow and they produce so many flowers. There are so many different types of dahlias and they all grow so different that it’s so hard to give such broad instructions but I’ll try to make this as helpful as possible. 

With my new expanded garden I have so much more flowers and I was struggling to find ways to use them. I researched different ways to use them and one of them was pressing. So I started learning how to do this. I found that there were two main methods, machine pressers and book pressing. So which one works best?

To me cosmos are the sweet little reliefs of the garden. They grow so seamlessly and are so pretty. Although I don’t recommend this sometimes when I want a garden bed super full I’ll just throw cosmo seeds in without even planting them and they still grow! That doesn’t work every time in every spot, but you get the point. They grow so well! 

Succulents are beautiful touches to your bedroom, living room, patio, or studio! Succulents are so great because they can go almost everywhere. Knowing how to care for them, and grow your collection is important to a healthy succulent garden. 

Peonies are one of my favorite types of flowers! They are some of the prettiest things ever! Having some of them in your garden is such a great add. They bring so much color and beauty and their giant blooms are a great vase filler. Peonies are definitely for the intermediate grower. They are prone to disease and required some maintenance, but their brilliant blooms make it totally worth it!

I can’t imagine summer without squash! In my home vining plants are essential summer treats, side dishes, and snacks. We make zucchini bread, squash chips, baked squash, and so much more. As I’m writing this I’m realizing we have a vining plant with almost every meal! Like I said it’s essential.
