Making things beautiful since 2022.

My goal for this blog is to share the beauty of this world with you and to share the magnificence of its creator! I hope to bring beauty into areas where it needs it most. I love art, flowers, and baking so much that I have to show everyone how amazing they are! I love making things classy and cute and everything always has to have a creative twist on it.

My story

It started when I was very young. I had always had such a passion for all things beautiful. I love looking back at all the pictures of me in the garden as a little girl. Both my mom and my Grammy had such beautiful full gardens but both very different. It fascinated me how much variety there was out there, and all the things you can do with flowers.

I started baking at around 7. The first thing I baked, without complete help from my mom was an apple pie! The edges were a little crispy, but I thought it was the greatest piece of art. After that I was sold. On birthdays I made cupcakes or cake. On Saturday mornings I would wake up early and make a special breakfast for my family. As I got older I began experiment, baking outside the recipe. I had several very bad mistakes. A lot of times I would end up just through it the whole thing away. Sooner or later I got the hang of it though. With practice, I can see a recipe and add my own twist to it. Most of the recipes I post have been worked on for several years. Everyone has their own taste, I bake things the way I like them, but I encourage you to get so comfortable in the kitchen that you are able to make everything to your liking.

When I’m talking about flowers, I really can’t stop. I could go on for hours and hours. I have always just loved being outside. Me and my sister would play all day outside. We would make our mom to bring out our food because we didn’t want to go inside. I was always a fairy or a princess and I lived in the tall flowers. A couple years back I became super interested in learning how to get flowers to look a certain way, and grow from seed. I got so many books about how to grow, care for, harvest, and arrange flowers. I took several classes on gardening and read articles from several well known bloggers. Whenever I see a beautiful arrangement I always feel this sense of awe. I don’t think I will ever get over the beauty of flowers. I try to get outside as much as I can and just work. I make sure to always have my camera around. The garden is really a magical place, and I want everyone to see it too. Rocky, my little dog, enjoys the garden more than me I think. He also loves show off his adorable looks in my photos. He love photo bombing! The time when I get to be out with him while we cut flowers is special. It ends up taking a whole lot longer because he constantly wants to play.

I want to show you what I love most, and I hope you will grow to love it too. Make life beautiful.

Why I do it

Why do I do this? That was a very tricky question. First of all, I’m a Christian, so I believe we were all created for one purpose, to glorify God. To some that sounds so arrogant of God, but it’s not. We are his creation, he made me and sustains me, I am obligated to do all that I do for him. But also, he loves me. He sent his one and only Son to die for me, one out of a million humans, but he died for all who put their trust in his name and give their lives solely to him. If someone was so willing to do that for us, they deserve our praise. Also God has given me gifts. I am so blessed to be in a position where I have so many wonderful things around me, why should I not use them to glorify the one who gave it all to me. So, to answer the question, I garden and bake to give God glory. It’s not to get famous or to find inner peace within myself. It’s because I want to share what God has given me, and show people what He can do. I hope that you will be able to enjoy God’s creation more and see all the hidden treasures that I have found in the smallest of things.

  • Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
