How to Propagate and Care for Succulents

Succulents are beautiful touches to your bedroom, living room, patio, or studio! Succulents are so great because they can go almost everywhere. Knowing how to care for them, and grow your collection is important to a healthy succulent garden.

First, break off out going leaves or mini succulents growing off of the base. Let the break offs dry out and scab over. Then place them in ‘cactus’ dirt. Place a small ice cube on the dirt or give the dirt a light misting. The babies will start to develop roots and become full grown succulents. Soon the process will start all over. Do the same watering method once a month to keep the hens hydrated, but otherwise leave them alone. Succulents like moderate to shaded light, with a minimal amount of water.
