Vanilla Pudding Summer Treat
This treat is my favorite for a nice summer evening with friends and family. Sitting out on the porch, chatting. while spooning this delicious dessert into your mouth is what I consider a perfect evening! It’s super easy to make and takes no time! We’ll often have most of the ingredients on hand. If we’re craving something a little sweet in the evening I’ll just go whip up some Vanilla Pudding Surprises!
Ingredients
2 boxes Vanilla Pudding (Packaged or homemade)
Vanilla ice cream (2 scoops per cup)
Whipped cream
Chocolate sauce
Carmel sauce
Vanilla wafers or small sugar cookies
6 Chilled glasses
If your glasses are not already chilled place them, upside down, in the freezer. Although I recommend chilling them before starting this recipe I know from experience it’s hard to think of that until your about to begin! The glasses will be chilled just maybe not as much as usual.
Prepare your pudding. If your using boxed just whip it up with some milk and let it rest in the fridge for at least five minutes to thicken. I usually let it sit until I’m ready to pour it over.
Pull out chilled glasses and drop 3-4 vanilla wafers onto the bottom (these are a great little surprise once you finish the drink and they also give it a good flavor).
Scoop a layer of ice cream over the wafers. Press it down as needed.
Pull the pudding out of the fridge divide it between all the glasses, pouring a nice layer over the ice cream.
Add the whipped cream to the top. You’ll want it to go to the rim of the jar.
Top with chocolate and caramel sauce. Be sure to drizzle the sides so it seeps down!
Keep int the fridge or freezer until your ready to serve. (This is best served immediately because the whipped cream will melt.)
Enjoy!
This Recipe makes six glasses and takes about 15-20 minutes
