Vanilla Glazed Cinnamon Rolls
Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite breakfasts! I love waking up early in the morning on a Saturday to whip up some yummy rolls for the rest of the family. It taste so good it could almost be a dessert!
What You Need: Serves: 4 People Time: 45 minutes Recipe From: DeCoste Kitchen
–Dough
2 3/4 cups of Flour
3 tbsp Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Salt
2 1/4 tsp Instant Yeast
1/2 a cup of Water
1/4 cup Milk
1/4 a cup or 2 tbsp Melted Butter
1 Large Egg
–Filling
1/2 a Stick or 4 tbsps of melted Butter
2 tbsps of Ground Cinnamon
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
–Glaze
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
3 1/2 tbsps of Milk
What You Do:
In a Large Bowl Mix flour, granulated sugar, sat, and yeast.
In a Microwave safe bowl or in a sauce pan heat water, milk, and butter. Butter should fully melt and it should bubble a little. (About 30-40 seconds in the microwave.)
Mix the warm mixture into the flour until it becomes a dough.
Let wrest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile Preheat oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn it off right before placing the roles in the oven.
Roll out the dough into a large rectangle. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Spread melted butter over the rolled out dough. Then Sprinkle the sugar mixture over.
Roll it side ways in to a long loose snake. Then cut into little circles.
Place in a greased pan (I used an 11x7' pan). Turn off oven and let rise in oven for 20m. Without removing the rolls preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake rolls for 15-20 more minutes.
Mix vanilla, milk, and sugar, in a small bowl. When Rolls are done drizzle over while they're still warm.
