French Bread

Makes: 1 loaf of bread           Time: 20m & 12hrs + of rising
Recipe From: DeCoste Kitchen     

What You Need:
1 1/2 cups of Warm Water 
1/4 a tsp of Active Dry Yeast
3 cups of Flour
1 tbsp of Salt
 Cooking Spray
You also need an oven proof pot like a skillet



What You Do:

  1. Mix the water, yeast, flour, and salt in a large bowl. It should be sticky and gooey. 

  2. Dip your hands in flour and roll it into a smooth ball. 

  3. Set in a bowl and cover. Set aside at room temperature for at least 12 hours.

  4. Very gently without squeezing too much air out, reform it into a ball. Rub it down with flour.   

  5. Preheat Oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Place empty pot in the oven until it preheats, then take it out. Set the dough in the pot and cover with the lid and cook for thirty minutes. 

  6. Remove from oven and cool for another thirty minutes. 

  7. Enjoy!
